With the whole church, let us confess our faith.
Leader: What is our only comfort in life and in death?
People: That we belong—body and soul, in life and in death—not to ourselves, but to our faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.
Leader: What has Christ done for us?
People: He has set us free from the power of sin and death, and keeps us secure in God’s care.
Leader: How do we know this comfort is true?
People: Through the Holy Spirit, who assures us of eternal life and moves us to live with gratitude and trust.
Leader: How then shall we live?
People: We live in thankful obedience, seeking to love God and serve our neighbors in all we do.
