Life Groups

A Life Group at First Miami is an intentional gathering, meeting regularly for the purpose of growing as disciples of Christ in prayer and fellowship.

What can one expect at small group?

One can expect a time of study, prayer, and fellowship in a safe confidential space.  Each Life Group decides how they want to structure their time.  Some groups use a book, a curriculum, the Bible, or our weekly sermons.  Also, most groups either share a meal together or offer a spread of snacks!

Life Group FAQ's

Why should I join a Life Group?

Our Life Groups are the primary way outside of weekend worship that we connect our faith with our life.  Also, a Life Group is a great way to meet new people and explore the faith in community.

Are all groups the same?

Life Groups will slightly vary based on the make-up of the group, structure, and leadership style.  At First Miami we have a variety of groups that will appeal to the diversity and schedule preference of the people found in our congregation.

Who leads a group?

Each Life Group has a different leader whose job is to keep the group on track.  Although each group has a leader we encourage all the participants to facilitate the group which allows one to acquire a sense of ownership of the group.  If you are interested in becoming a leader, contact Anna E. Rosas at anna.rosas@firstmiami.org
